The color of plastic expansion anchors (green or white) is typically determined by material composition, intended application, and performance characteristics, rather than being merely an aesthetic choice.
White plastic expansion anchors are manufactured from virgin plastic resin; they offer superior hardness and tensile strength, making them suitable for applications requiring higher load-bearing capacity, such as mounting curtains or furniture.
Typically made of PE or PP, these white anchors exhibit excellent weather resistance and are suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.
Mechanical Properties
They feature a compressive strength of 15–25 MPa and an elastic modulus of 800–1200 MPa. They can withstand cyclic loads and accommodate structural displacement without being prone to brittle fracture.
Weather and Corrosion Resistance
They resist acid and alkali corrosion (suitable for a pH range of 3–11) and operate within a standard temperature range of -40°C to 90°C; certain modified versions offer enhanced UV resistance.
Practical Performance
With a density of only 1.2–1.4 g/cm³, they are easy to install. They feature an anti-rotation design that prevents the anchor from spinning during screw tightening. They are compatible with various base materials-such as concrete and stone-and remain secure over long-term use.
